Central venous catheterization (Seldinger method) kit. Polymeric radiopaque catheters with a valve for subclavian and jugular veins catheterization

Catheters are made of radiopaque polyurethane. A catheter consists of a basic tube and a divertive tube with a valve on its end. The basic and the divert tubes are connected with each other by means of a hub.

The catheters developed by MEDSIL passed clinical tests successfully on the department of surgical diseases of Moscow Sechenov Medical Academy (City clinical hospital no. 61. Moscow), in the Research clinical institute of the Moscow region and in the Sclifоsofsky Research institute of emergency service. In 1999 they are recommended for serial production by the Committee of New medical technology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Needle for catheter

Designed by JSC MEDSIL

The diameters of the internal channel of the produced catheters vary from 0,6 mm, up to 1,6 mm with a step of 0,2 mm. The guide wire is made from kapron cord (standard) or from steel wire as a spiral with an axial core (optional). The diameter of a standard guide wire is 0,2 mm less than an internal diameter of catheter.

The catheterization kit includes needles of Medsil’s own production. The special sharpening of a needle provides easy insertion; the internal edge of a needle is beveled to prevent the trimming of a guide wire while its extraction.

The catheter is supplied in sterile packing (sterilization carried out by radiation method). There are several versions of a central venous catheterization kit:

  • including a guide wire (made of kapron cord)
  • including a dilator (made of plastic)
  • including a needle, a guide wire and a dilator

Conductor for catheter

Metal guide wire representing spiral spring with an axial core

provides most comfortable introduction of a catheter.

Catheters with antimicrobial coating

Antimicrobial coating developed by MEDSIL lowers the risk of infective complication associated with insertion and long-term positioning of a catheter by approximately 80%. The chemical composition of the coating includes chlorhexidine. Chlorhexidine is exuded from the material of the catheter obstructing the infection. Catheters with antimicrobial coating are essential in the cases of long-term treatment, when the risk of infection is rather high.

Reusable laryngeal masks LV-01 with radiopaque strip for inhalation anesthesia and controlled pulmonary ventilation

Laryngeal mask

Developed by JSC MEDSIL

The masks are used for general inhalation  anesthesia and artificial lung ventilation. Laryngeal masks are made from from soft medical silicone rubber. The hard silicone tube prevents  glueing in the process of mask application. LV-01  laryngeal masks are of as high quality as the best foreign analogues.
